AAT Qualified Bookkeeper
AAT Qualified Bookkeeper (AATQB) status will give recognition to your commitment to become a qualified Bookkeeper. Upon successful completion of the Advanced Diploma in Accounting, you will be able to start applying for AATQB status which confirms your skills and allows you to work towards being able to submit the final accounts for yours or other businesses.
When you have earned your AAT Level 3 qualification, you can become self-employed and offer 5 services including Bookkeeping, Financial Accounts, VAT, Computerised Accountancy Systems, and Payroll.
Designatory Letters
AATQB (gained with AAT Level 3) - An AAT Bookkeeping member is a qualified Bookkeeper, earning AATQB status. Delegates who have earned their AATQB status can use the designatory letters AATQB after their name, and they can apply to run their own practice as an AAT Licensed Bookkeeper. These designatory letters show you have gained the skills, experience, and knowledge that employers are looking for, which can result in an increase in your earning potential.

AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting Syllabus
Building on the skills and techniques you developed throughout Level 2, the AAT Level 3 Certificate in Accounting will enable you to understand and perform more complex accounting processes, such as advanced double-entry bookkeeping, implementing procedures for acquisition and disposal of non-current assets, preparing, and recording depreciation calculations, and more!
The 4 modules that you’ll cover throughout this course, are:
Average course completion time – 12-15 months
These modules will teach you how to make provisions for doubtful and irrecoverable debts, help you understand the importance of ethics in the working environment and show you how to reconcile ledgers with the cash book. You’ll also learn how to analyse variances and use spreadsheets to manage and record information in the accounting environment.

Revision Classes & Exam Prep Sessions – To help students have the best chances of passing their exams, we have developed a series of regular exam preparation sessions. AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting Exam Details
Your personal AAT Tutor will run your live online classes so that you get the benefits of learning in a college class without leaving your home. Live online classes cover revision sessions and practice papers on the units you need to pass your exams such as Business Awareness, Management Accounting Techniques and Audit and Assurance.
There are 4 computer-based exams in total, which will need to be taken at your local AAT test centre.
Exams
The exam format includes multiple-choice questions, selecting answers from a drop-down menu and typing numbers and text into form fields.
When you are ready to sit your exams, you will be required to sit your exam at a suitable AAT approved assessment venue. We can help find the closest one to you. Exam fees vary from centre to centre.

Pass Rates

The entry requirements for Level 3 online are: A successful pass in the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting or equivalent qualification. Alternatively, you should have at least three years accounting work experience including a strong working knowledge of manual double-entry bookkeeping.
In addition, AAT Level 3 and AAT Level 4 are recommended to degree students, by employers, to gain work-based accounting skills.

Business Awareness, which develops business environment understanding from a finance function perspective.
Secondly, Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements, that covers the preparation of year-end financial statements.
The third module is Management Accounting Techniques the looks at internal cost controls for optimum efficiency and finally, Tax Processes for Businesses, which covers all aspects of VAT.
It is possible to study Level 3 without support, but it isn’t recommended by AAT. When you study with e-Careers you have open access to a tutor to support your learning and multiple resources to use as part of the package. Each resource and the support given, serves a function in developing the depth of your knowledge and understanding.
The designation is awarded by AAT. It means your successful studies have reached the status of recognition as an AAT Qualified Bookkeeper.
You can gain the designation by passing the AAT Level 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping.
Alternatively, you can gain it by passing two modules: Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements and Tax Processes for Businesses from AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.
No, there is not a free AAT Level 3 course. The only way to study AAT Level 3 is to pay for the course, AAT student membership and pay the examination fees as they fall due.
